Directions to SAIC Towers III

For Yahoo map and directions, visit http://tinyurl.com/jp59d  and plug in your starting location. If you are coming from 495, the directions are:

 

Take exit #46A/VA-123 SOUTH onto CHAIN BRIDGE RD[VA-123] toward VIENNA/TYSONS CORNER - go 0.8 mi       [Note: Chain Bridge exit is often backed up early in the morning.]

Turn Right on INTERNATIONAL DR - go 0.2 mi

Turn Left on GREENSBORO DR - go 0.4 mi

Turn Left on SOLUTIONS DR - go 0.1 mi

SOLUTIONS DR becomes SAIC DR - go < 0.1 mi

Arrive at 1710 SAIC DR, MCLEAN

 

Shuttle from Metro

A free shuttle is available from/to the Orange line Metro, the Dunn Loring stop.

See shuttle schedule. State that you are going to a government meeting at SAIC Towers III.

Parking

Parking is free. Visitor parking is to the RIGHT of the small circular area in front of the building. If the garage is full, there is parking behind the garage (down a hill to the right).

Security, check-in info

  • Stop at the reception/security desk once you enter the double glass doors. State that you are here for the “XML Community of Practice meeting in Room EPI-4A”.
  • Assuming you have notified Owen Ambur in advance, your name and organization should be on a list. You’ll get a Visitor’s Pass and you will not need an escort. Ask for directions to the appropriate elevator to room EPI-4A (4th floor).
  • If your name is not on the list, you will have a problem gaining entry. Contact Ken Sall.

Cafeteria

SAIC has an inexpensive and very good cafeteria, as well as a coffee bar, on the first floor.
