This session will focus on new technologies which offer solutions to
persistent survey problems or extend the capabilities of survey
systems. Based on the latest developments and available
presenters, possible topics may include: collaborative research tools,
including portals and other approaches to knowledge management, peer
collaboration, and document search, and interactive data dissemination;
automated data cleaning, editing and management tools, including
current COTS offerings; integrated systems which combine data
collection, metadata, and project management; advances in voice
computing, including coding and post processing of voice and video
recording; voice to text systems; word and phrase lookup in speech
recognition, voice browsing and voice/web synchronization; and various
messaging technologies.
