Description of Effort:
The Dept. of Energy Westinghouse Savannah River Corporation's (WSRC) Enterprise and Technical Applications Support Group plans to use XML in the next release of Local Area Network Material Accounting System (LANMAS). XML will be used as a data transfer mechanism for the shipping, receiving and inventory of nuclear material. XML will be used to display information from a Composition of Ending Inventory (COEI) report for the Nuclear Materials Management Safeguards System (NMMSS). LANMAS users will be able to view this report using a browser versus hardcopy report. WSRC's Management Services Department plans to use XML in the forthcoming Information Asset Management project.
