Description of Effort:
This effort is by the Western Area Power Administration (Western).  Future development of the Open Access Same-time Information System (OASIS) will incorporate XML technology. OASIS is required by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) for all power utilities across the nation. Western's Information Technology department is developing back-end strategies to support the XML data format.
